The Duo

Lou and Julian have been performing extensively since they moved to Winnipeg in 2016. From private events at places like Winter Club, festivals like Winnipeg Jazz Festival, Folklorama, concert halls like CCFM’s Pauline Boutal hall, house concerts, to weekly performances at Winnipeg’s best restaurants (Hermanos, Mona Lisa, McNally Robinson, Stella’s au CCFM among others), they have become an active part of Winnipeg’s rich music scene.

Lou (Guitar & Vocals)

Lou is a singer and a songwriter born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her sweet yet powerful voice has captivated listeners in genres like flamenco, Latin American folk, tango, jazz, pop and rock. She can take any musical piece and make it come to life in a beautiful and unique way.

Lou graduated with honors from Berklee College of Music (Boston, Massachusetts) where she studied Contemporary Writing and Production. She also holds a degree in Classical Composition from Universidad Católica Argentina (Buenos Aires, Argentina).
In the last few years she has studied and worked with the multiple Latin Grammy winner producer and songwriter Javier Limon. During that time, she produced a music video with other Berklee students for the multi Latin Grammy winner Alejandro Sanz. This experience gave her the opportunity to participate in the 2013 Latin Grammy Awards performing on the main stage along with Alejandro Sanz himself. In 2015 she met internationally acclaimed Spanish singer songwriter Rosana and performed as a guest artist at her New York show during her USA Tour that year. Rosana has been a great influence in her music.
In her short time in Winnipeg, Lou has received the support of the Winnipeg Arts Council and the Manitoba Arts Council.

JuliAn (multi-instrumentalist)

Julian is a composer and sound engineer graduated with honors from Berklee College of Music. He has written music for many theatre productions and founded his own audio production company. Throughout his life he has played many instruments and experienced music as a creator and a performer.  He’s been working with Lou for several years now, as a producer, engineer, co-writer and band mate. His background both in classical and contemporary music, together with his passion and his delicate taste, make him an amazing and incredibly versatile performer.
When he is not rocking the stage playing music, he is an experienced theatre actor who has participated in several international festivals and performed hundreds of shows as an improv actor.
